ELECTRONIC PARISH PLANNED GIVING
AN INVITATION TO JOIN ELECTRONIC PARISH PLANNED GIVING
Given that some parishioners are unable to attend Mass in our church, many who support our parish planned giving envelope program have asked how they can continue to financially support the parish. So, we respectfully encourage all parishioners to join our electronic parish planned giving program to help us ensure that we limit the financial pressure this current situation will impose on our parish.
Please visit www.dow.org.au/plannedgiving to learn of the two simple ways you can give to our parish electronically.
REGULAR OR ONE OFF PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE BY EITHER USING THE ADDRESS ABOVE OR THE LINK BOXES BELOW.
Importantly, we are mindful that some of our parishioners will sadly be experiencing a change in their financial circumstances. Please contact the Parish Office 4261 1315 or if you need to decrease/discontinue your planned giving contribution, but mainly to let us know how we can support you.
For those who are not able to give electronically, the office is open from Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 4pm.
There is a drop box safe in the foyer that you can safely leave your donation.
The office front door may be closed but during these hours it will not be locked.
The donation tap point has also been moved to the office foyer for your convenience.
Thank you for your continued support, especially during this challenging time.
Christmas Eve - 6pm - (This Christmas mass is now fulll)
Christmas Day - 9am - Please phone or email parish office to register
There will be two masses on Christmas Eve running simultaneously, one outside and one in the church. This is so that we comply with government COVID regulations with numbers attending mass. People who will be attending the mass in the church have already been contacted so if you have registered for Christmas Eve mass and have not been contacted, you will be attending the outside mass.
Unfortunately we cannot take any more registrations for attending Christmas Eve mass.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and following directives from the government and the Bishops office, mass decreased again to the 4 square meter rule. At St John’s we will be limited to 112 people. This does not include Clergy or essential members (Clergy, sacristan, Altar Servers, musicians, and usher).
We have now introduced a new way to record attendances at mass using a QR code. You will no longer be required to pre-register for masses (except for Christmas masses) but your attendance will still need to be recorded when you come to the church and it will be capped at the amount of people allowed in the church. Many people will already be familiar with using your smart phone using QR code to sign in. At St John’s there will be signs in the foyer with a QR code and instructions on how to sign in. You will need to scan the QR code with your smartphone and show the attendance monitor once you have signed in. This electronic form has been made as simple as possible. If you do not have a smart phone or are unsure how to go about this, the attendance monitor will be at the door to assist you with this process or sign in for you. If you have an android phone you will need to download a free QR scanner from the Playstore.
Please ensure that you allow time on arrival to go through this process before mass.
There is currently no reconciliation at 4pm on Saturdays.
Reconciliation is now between 11am - 12pm every Saturday. There is no need to book but you are asked to wait outside in the inspiration garden maintaining social distancing for your turn.
The 2nd rite of Reconciliation will not be as it has been in previous years. Reconciliation will be on every Saturday from 11-12pm until Christmas. Please ensure you arrive no later that 11.45pm.
